Port of Zeebrugge
On 15 March 2019 the Truckmeister app officially saw the light of day at the Port of Zeebrugge. It’s a time-saving and cost-efficient solution for the port authority, nearly 100 terminals and companies located at the site and truck drivers who enter and exit the port. The app is supplied with the usual Truckmeister features but contains some nice extras for Zeebrugge.
Terminal navigation
Looking for the right terminal to pick up a load can be very time-consuming because truck drivers always need to look for the physical signs telling them which way they need to go. However, Truckmeister has integrated every terminal and company at the port of Zeebrugge, so drivers can directly navigate to their destination.
ADR information
ADR is a European treaty for international transport of dangerous goods (certain gases, inflammable liquids, toxic substances, etc.) to which specific driving rules apply. For the Port of Zeebrugge, this is important information as it is responsible for everything that happens on site. That is why truck drivers have the opportunity to enter the type of ADR if they are transporting hazardous materials, so the port can act quicker in case of emergencies.
Fleet software integration
The port of Zeebrugge uses the fleet management platform developed by Be-Mobile. Using this remarkable piece of technology, they are able to monitor drivers that enter and drive around in the port area. This offers the unique opportunity to communicate with drivers and the other way around to keep each other posted.
